A day in Speightown for my buddy's 20th bithday

I know it has been almost a whole month since my last blog but i am here again i hope everything with my readers is going well. anyway back to the task at hand one of my main guys birthday was April 12th  he had turned the Big 20 and we spent piratically the whole day together we had really and truly wanted to go Cattlewash beach which is located in St. Joseph quite beautiful i have to go there sometime but we ended up in Speighstown.

May I just say the bus ride to Speigshtown is long and they're quite a  few sights to take in that makes it relaxing and you almost tend to forget how long the ride is, we caught the Pie Corner bus and was on our way we passed many parks and beaches  one major beach and facility which is often used for School Tours, Picnic or just an ordinary beach day with friends is Folkstone  there is also an recreational park, basketball court and tennis court our trip continued as we also pass the secluded and very private area of Sandylane, the bus then to pass Holetown which is a one of Barbados's Gems there's a lovely 'Jus Grilling' located there as well for all my seafood fans they don't only offer fish but a different variety of foods and not to forget their special called the Catch of the Day it has a lovely ambiance at night. I would know been there for my 16th birthday man did i have a blast anyway  we eventually made it to Speighstown alot busier place than Holetown bought lunch ate right infront of the  the beach under the promenade.

yup this is the view we had at our disposal
After we ate lunch we then heading to the beach in Speighstown which is like 5-10mins walk from the area above yup that's the birthday boy below looking out to the beautiful beach  we spent about 10-20mins at this section of the beach he even attempt to show me how to skip a rock.

the best part about this beach was that it was long enough for a jog but small enough to still have that intimate feel about it
and last but not least my favourite beach which was all connected to the bigger, was this small beach area that was like a hide away even though there was some sand erosion obvious i loved that no more than 5 people could really fit there u would've had a boat and remained at sea with your friends to fit more people, it was just cosy and comfortable just the way i like it.
all in all we ended the day sitting in front Waterfront cafe on the board walk in Bridgetown and boy was it quite a day walking from beach to beach and i am pretty sure he had quite and amasing time too its always fun when you go beaching with a friend or friends any until another time.
